The Cassowary Coast River Improvement Trust is committed to protecting and enhancing the vital river catchments of our region. From bank stabilisation and revegetation to flood mitigation and erosion control, our projects aim to support the long-term health of the Johnstone, Tully, Liverpool and Murray rivers – and the communities and ecosystems that depend on them.

This section of our website is currently under construction, but soon you’ll be able to explore the work we’re doing across more than 120 kilometres of coastline to ensure these important waterways continue to flow clean, strong and sustainably into the Great Barrier Reef lagoon.
